Financing Your Small Business Time: 1:00pm-2:30pm
This class reviews potential sources of capital to start,
operate an expand a small business. Emphasis will be
placed on tasks a business owner should accomplish in
preparation for applying for a small business loan and sources
of help with those preparations. The class will also
include insight into the conditions that are most important to a
lender's decision to approve or decline a loan request.
How banks and other lenders operate, the impact of the current
recession on their lending programs and how it affects your
ability to obtaining financing will also be discussed. The
class will include an overview of U.S. Small Business
Administration (SBA) Guaranteed Loan Programs.
Government Contracting Time: 3:00pm-4:00pm
This class will cover Federal Contracting certifications and
set-asides for small businesses, how to get registered for
federal contracting, how to locate Recovery funded projects,
and which federal agencies are facilitating recovery projects.
This class also includes a question and answer portion.
