Warrior Candle

The History of the Candle is as old as time. In the days that the Warriors left home, Captains sailed ships to foreign shores, a candle was placed in the window to guide them home safely to their loved ones and families. It burned brightly in the window and in the hearts of Warrior and spouse, children and families as an everlasting beacon, or lighthouse, to perpetually express their love and support for the unselfish act of giving to make the world safer for all Mankind.  Today's Warriors share the endless worries and cares of the timeless battle about their family's safety while deployed as they are not physically at hand to protect them. The void that exists in their hearts and spirits is a dark place and can become a detriment to them and their comrades well being. The Candle burning can be the light of hope as it is maintained with love and care; it is capable of dispelling the dark, lonely tours, danger, and the knowledge that as long as it burns, all is safe at the hearth of home and country.  The spouses and children also can be warned and comforted while they get their demons of fear dispelled. The time for awaited letters and telephone calls are made easier by the light.  If each member of the Warriors' immediate family, friends, and members of the community would light and keep lit these heart and soul beacons of love and assurance, the intended recipients could know and protect themselves no matter what measure of harm's way they are exposed to. This small light has historically brought many a victory nationally and personally.

The countries should rise, begin lighting the way home, and wrap our Warriors in the warmth of its glow. Is it not a fact that the Olympic Games were centered around the flame of the international hope for peace; the uniting of nations in one brotherhood. It is a fact that Christians and other faiths light candles with the same eternal hope to God for peace, unity of mankind, and the protection of country and family in the hope that all mankind can see the light.
